Eggs in a ham shell with spinach and cheese gratin
1 ripe pear
15 ml (1 tbsp) lemon juice
8 slices Lafleur shaved ham
4 slices crusty bread
4 slices Swiss or cheddar cheese
15 ml (1 tbsp) Dijon mustard
15 ml (1 tbsp) butter
15 ml (1 tbsp) olive oil
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Peel and core the pear. Slice thinly and coat well with the lemon juice.
Mix the butter and Dijon mustard, then spread the mixture on the slices of bread.
Place the bread slices on a baking sheet brushed with olive oil.
Top each slice of bread with two slices of ham, arrange the pear slices in a fan shape, and cover with cheese.
Bake for 10 minutes, then finish under the broiler to melt and lightly brown the cheese
Serve with the salad of your choice.
