- 30 mL (2 tbsp.) oil
- 1 package (450 g) Lafleur Smoked Sausages, julienned
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 500 mL (2 cups) your choice of vegetables (carrots, broccoli, celery, cauliflower, etc.), finely chopped
- 500 mL (2 cups) apple juice
- 30 mL (2 tbsp.) soya sauce
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 5 mL (1 tsp.) garlic powder
- 5 mL (1 tsp.) paprika
- 5 mL (1 tsp.) dry mustard
- 1 mL (1/4 tsp.) ground sage or bay leaf
- Fresh ground pepper, to taste
- 30 mL (2 tbsp.) corn starch
- 30 mL (2 tbsp.) cold water
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat and sauté sliced sausages.
- Add vegetables and cook for 2 to 3 minutes (vegetables must remain crunchy). Remove from pan and set aside.
- Deglaze pan with apple juice. Add soya sauce, lemon juice and spices. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Thicken sauce with corn starch dissolved in water.
- Return sausage pieces and vegetables to the pan and heat through. Adjust seasoning.
