Preparation
  1. In a frying pan, heat oil, then melt butter. Sauté the red pepper, garlic and onion for 2 minutes.
  2. Deglaze frying pan with white wine and reduce liquid until almost completely evaporated. Add sugar, salt and pepper while liquid is being reduced.
  3. Spread cream cheese on crackers or slices of French bread. Place slices of heated sausages on cream cheese. Top with red pepper relish and garnish with fresh basil.
