- 23 cm (9") pie crust, precooked
- 225 g (1/2 lb) Express Lafleur Maple Smoked Ham, thinly sliced
- 250 mL (1 cup) chopped spinach, thawed and drained
- 4 eggs
- 250 mL (1 cup) milk or 10% cream
- 60 mL (1/4 cup) maple syrup
- Pinch of nutmeg
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
- Salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste
- 250 mL (1 cup) grated cheese of your choice (Mozzarella, Gruyere, Emmenthal, etc.)
- Preheat oven to 375ºF (190ºC).
- Place ham and spinach in pie crust.
- Beat eggs and milk in a bowl with a whisk.
- Add syrup and spices. Season to taste.
- Pour mixture into pie crust and sprinkle with cheese.
- Place in middle of oven and cook for about 20 minutes.
