- 4 Lafleur Smoked Sausages, sliced
- 500 mL (2 cups) Festin Lafleur Ham, cut in cubes
- 30 mL (2 tbsp.) oil
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 sticks of celery, finely chopped
- 250 mL (1 cup) long grain rice
- 500 mL (2 cups) chicken stock
- Brown sausages and ham in oil in a pot.
- Add garlic, onion and celery and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add rice and cook 1 minute while stirring to ensure the rice is well-coated by the oil.
- Add chicken stock, tomato paste and herbs. Season to taste and mix well.
- Bring to a boil, reduce to medium-high heat and simmer, partially covered, for 7 to 8 minutes.
- Add lentils and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.
Suggestion :
For a more subtle flavour, use fresh sausages instead of smoked sausages : Lafleur European Sausages With Fines Herbs or Lafleur Lean Pork and Beef Sausages.
