Ingredients
- 4 slices of crusty nut breads
- 8 slices of Express Authentic Cooked Ham
- 4 slices of emmenthal
Dijon mayonnaise with dill
- 65 g (¼ cup) mayonnaise (see note)
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) Dijon mustard
- 15 g (1 tbsp) fresh dill, finely chopped
- Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
Note:
You can replace the mayonnaise with plain yogurt.
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 230°C (450°F).
- In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, Dijon mustard and dill. Season to taste. Set aside.
- Lightly toast the slices of nut bread in the oven or toaster.
- Let cool. Spread mayonnaise mixture on each slice of bread.
- Place 2 slices of ham on each slice of bread.
- Add a slice of emmenthal.
- Broil the open-faced sandwiches.
- Allow to cool, then cut into bite-sized pieces.

- Fresh cheese: cottage cheese or ricotta
- Soft cheese: brie or camembert
- Semi-firm cheese: mozzarella, havarti or Monterey jack
- Firm cheese: cheddar, gouda or emmenthal
- Hard cheese: parmesan
