Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 450ºF (230ºC).
  2. Mix oil and garlic. Brush over slices of French bread. Place bread, oil side up, on a cookie sheet.
  3. Place turkey then tomatoes on bread. Sprinkle with basil. Season with salt if needed.
  4. Cover each canapé with a slice of goat cheese. Season with pepper to taste.
  5. Bake canapés in oven for 8 to 10 minutes to grill bread and melt cheese. Serve hot or cold.
Note:

If you use dried tomatoes not kept in oil, rehydrate them first by soaking in lukewarm water for about 10 minutes.

Tip:

You can prepare steps 2 to 4 of this recipe in advance. When your guests arrive, simply pop canapés into the oven !
