- 600 g Lafleur Fresh All-pork Sausages
- 30 mL (2 tbsp.) oil
- 15 mL (1 tbsp.) flour
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 sticks of celery, finely chopped
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1 can 540 mL (19 oz) diced tomatoes
- Salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste
- Hot sauce, to taste
- Sauté sausages in half the oil at medium-high heat. Remove from pan and keep warm.
- Put the rest of the oil in the pan and add the flour. Cook at medium heat until the flour becomes golden brown.
- Add garlic, onion, celery, green pepper and tomatoes. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add sausages and hot sauce, season to taste and simmer for 4 to 5 minutes.
Serve on pasta or rice.
Suggestion :Like with many other recipes, you may prepare this dish in advance and reheat it for supper, or enjoy for lunch at work or school !
