«Savourez votre déjeuner» avec Lafleur
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

ELIGIBILITY
  1. In order to be eligible to enter this contest, participants must:
    1. Be legal residents of the province of Quebec; and
    2. Have reached the age of majority in the jurisdiction of residence.
  2. Are excluded employees, agents and representatives of Contest Organizers, their affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, suppliers of material, prizes and services in connection with this Contest or any member of their immediate family (father, mother, brothers, sisters, children), their legal or common-law spouse, and individuals with whom such employees, representatives and agents reside.
  3. Lafleur has the right at any time to require proof of identity or eligibility from any Entrant in order for him/her to participate in the contest. Failure to provide such proof within a reasonable period of time could result in disqualification.
  4. All information supplied to Lafleur for the purpose of this Contest must be truthful, accurate and complete. Lafleur reserves the right to disqualify any participant should the Entry Form (hereinafter defined) be untruthful, inaccurate or incomplete.
GRAND PRIZE DESCRIPTION
  1. The Grand Prize consists in a cash amount for the rental of a summer cottage. The maximum value of the Grand Prize is set at $8,000. The final amount shall be determined on the basis of valid Entries accumulated by the selected winner, up to a maximum of $8,000 equal to the cost of renting a cottage for 8 weeks.
  2. Each Entry is deemed equal to a one-week rental and entitles the winner to a $1,000 cheque, up to a limit of $8,000 for 8 weeks of rental.
  3. Illustration of the Grand Prize on all promotional advertising is provided for information purposes only.
DEADLINES FOR ENTRY
  1. The Contest opens on Monday, March 31, 2008 and ends on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. (EDT).
HOW TO ENTER
  1. To enter the contest, Entrants must first purchase any package of participating Lafleur products (any size and type of self-serve hams, breakfast sausages, frozen sausages, wieners, sliced deli meats, vacuum-packed deli meats, bacon and cretons) available in participating Quebec groceries, during the Contest Period (hereinafter defined) or until stocks of participating products run out, whichever comes first. The Entrant must keep the UPC code from the product packaging for the right to enter.
  2. In order to complete their Entry and to validate the UPC code from any duly purchased product, Entrants must visit the "Savourez votre déjeuner avec Lafleur" Contest Page on the www.lafleur.com website, to fill out the online Entry Form providing their first names, last name, age, address, telephone number, e-mail address, as well as the UPC code from a participating product. All Entries must be made online no later than May 11, 2008 at 5:00 pm (EDT).
  3. To enter the Contest without the purchase of a participating Lafleur product, Entrants must send an original 50-word essay, not reproduced mechanically, explaining why they would like to win a summer cottage rental to: P.O. Box 385, Station St-Martin, Laval, Qc, H7V 3P6. They must also provide their first and last names, age, address and telephone number. No-purchase Entry must be received no later than May 14, 2008 at 11:00 am (EDT). Upon receipt of the essay, representatives of the Contest Organizers will automatically enter the participant into the final draw. All additional no-purchase Entry Request must be mailed separately. Any essay received after the final Entry Date of May 14, 2008 (hereinabove described) will be automatically disqualified.
TERMS OF ENTRY
  1. The UPC code from any participating product can only be entered once per week. All UPC codes submitted during the promotional period entitles the Entry, should he/she win, to one (1) cheque in the amount of $1,000 per weekly rental up to a maximum of 8 rental weeks ($8,000).
  2. Grand Prize Bonus
    1. Any present member of Club Lafleur entering the promotion and who is eligible according to these Contest Rules is automatically granted an additional Entry. This additional Entry automatically allows the Entrant to one extra week rental of a summer cottage, should the Entrant be declared the Grand Prize winner.
    2. Any eligible Entrant to this promotion who subscribes to Club Lafleur during the promotional period will receive an additional Entry. In order to benefit from said additional Entry, the Entrant must remain a Club Lafleur member for the duration of the promotion.
    3. For each friend invited to enter the Contest by an Entrant who has already completed his/her Entry, said Entrant will automatically receive an additional Entry should this friend subscribe to Club Lafleur and remain a member for the duration of the promotion.
    4. Entrants who entered the promotion by sending an essay through the mail and not online through the Lafleur website cannot invite friends to enter the Contest and subscribe to Club Lafleur.
    5. Only one bonus week will be awarded for each friend invited during the promotional period.
ENTRY LIMIT
  1. Participants must respect the following Entry limits or risk being disqualified:
    1. One Entry per person, per UPC code, per week;
    2. Only one e-mail address may be used by the Entrant during the Contest Period;
    3. One UPC code per week, per home.
PRIZE WINNER SELECTION
  1. Grand Prize draw: On May 20, 2008 at 10:00 am (EDT), a random draw from among all participants who entered online and validated a participating UPC code, or who sent an eligible no-purchase Entry as set forth in paragraph 12 of these Rules, will take place in the offices of Lafleur's promotional agency located in Laval, to select a potential Grand Prize winner.
  2. The finalist will be contacted by phone on May 20, 2008, immediately following the draw.
  3. To be declared the winner, the finalist must comply with these Contest Rules as well as correctly answer mathematical skill-testing question, without the assistance of any mechanical, electronic or similar device.
  4. If the Entrant correctly answers the skill-testing question as well as fills out and signs a Declaration and Release Form within the period specified, the agency will make all the needed arrangements to award the Grand Prize to the winner.
  5. In the event the agency is unable to notify the Finalist within three (3) days of the official Contest Draw (hereinabove described), an alternate Finalist will be selected until a selected Entrant is finally declared the winner. The agency will notify the potential winner by fax or email. A completed and signed Declaration and Release Form must be received by the agency, by fax or email, within ten (10) business days after the date it is sent.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
  1. Failing to comply with one or more of the conditions mentioned above, the selected Entrant will be disqualified and will forfeit his/her prize. In such a case, Contest Organizers will hold a new random draw, if time allows, to award the Grand Prize, until an official winner is declared.
  2. Entry Forms and UPC codes are subject to verification by Contest Organizers. Any Entry Form or code that is, as the case may be, late, incomplete or falsified, that bears an incorrect skill-testing answer or that fails to comply in any respect with these Rules, can be declared invalid and, in such case, may not entitle the Entrant to an Entry or a prize
  3. The winner agrees to the prize as awarded. The prize cannot be transferred or exchanged. The winner will receive $1,000 per weekly rental per eligible Contest Entry, up to a maximum of $8,000 awarded by cheque.
  4. In the event that, for any reason whatsoever, the prize or part thereof is unavailable, Contest Organizers reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to substitute a prize of the same nature or equivalent value.
  5. For Quebec residents, any litigation respecting the conduct or organisation of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
  6. Contest organizers reserve the right to disqualify a person or cancel one or several Entries of a person who enters or attempts to enter the Contest by means contrary to these Contest Rules or in a manner which is unfair to the other Entrants (e.g. computer hacking or invalid email address). Such a person could be reported to the competent legal authorities.
  7. Before they declare a winner, Contest Organizers reserve the right to verify all Entries from this person.
  8. Odds of winning the Grand Prize will be determined by the total number of eligible Entry Forms and no-purchase Entries received during the Contest Period, as set forth in paragraph 11 of these Rules.
  9. Lafleur and its affiliated companies assume no responsibility for late, lost, stolen, delayed, illegible, incomplete, or misdirected Entry forms or UPC codes, or human error, or technical malfunctions, including but not limited to inability to access the website, lost, delayed or incorrect data transmission, interruption or failure, other electronic malfunctions, computer or telephone hardware or software failures, malfunctions or garbled transmissions.
  10. Contest Organizers, their subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies, their employees, agents and representatives are not liable for faulty computer components, software, or communication lines, relating to the loss or absence of network communication or relating to any transmission that is faulty, incomplete, incomprehensible, or erased by any computer or any network that could limit the possibility or prevent any person from entering the contest. Contest Organizers, their subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies, their employees, agents and representatives disclaim any responsibility for any damage or loss incurred, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by the downloading of any software or any form and by the transmission of any data relating to contest participation.
  11. Contest Organizers reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this contest, in whole or in part, in the case where an event or any human intervention could corrupt or affect the administration, safety, impartiality or the normal running of the contest as foreseen in these contest rules, subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux of Quebec, if required. In any case, Contest organizers, their subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies, suppliers of products, material or services relating to the contest as well as their employees, agents and representatives, will not be held responsible to award more prizes than the number of prizes indicated in these Contest Rules or to award the prize otherwise than in compliance with these Contest Rules.
  12. Any attempt by an Entrant to deliberately sabotage the web site or to impair the legitimate operation of this Contest will result in disqualification. Lafleur reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  13. Further, Lafleur, its affiliated companies or their respective franchises, their advertising and promotional agencies as well as their respective agents, directors, officers, employees and representatives, cannot be held liable for any injury, loss or damage of any kind, including personal injury, death, or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the Grand Prize.
  14. In order to claim a prize, each potential winner must sign a Declaration and Release Form to the satisfaction of Lafleur, confirming that he/she has complied with the present Contest Rules; that he/she agrees to the prize; that he/she authorizes Lafleur, its affiliated companies and their respective franchisees to use, if desired, his/her name, photograph and/or video image for publicity purposes; and that releases Lafleur, its affiliated companies, their franchisees, their respective advertising and promotional agencies, the contest judges as well as their respective agents, directors, administrators, employees and representatives of any damages, expenses or claims resulting to, in relation with or following their Entry into this Contest or use of the Grand Prize.
  15. The random draw will be held among all the Entrants who submitted an eligible Entry.
  16. Any litigation respecting the conduct or organisation of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
  17. For the purpose of these Rules, the Entrant is the person whose name appears on the online Entry form or the no-purchase Entry letter. The prize will be awarded to such person if he/she is selected and declared a winner.
  18. Fees due under Quebec law have been paid.
  19. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. All applicable local, state, provincial, federal or international taxes, duties or fees required are the sole responsibility of the winner and will be paid by the winner.
  20. Lafleur reserves the right at its absolute discretion to modify or withdraw this contest at any time, in whole or in part, without prior notification, for any reason.
  21. For information regarding the prize winner, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to "Information — Savourez votre déjeuner », P.O. Box 385, Station St-Martin, Laval, QC, H7V 3P6. All requests must be received by June 20, 2008.
USE OF INFORMATION PROVIDED BY ENTRANTS
  1. Selected Entrants cannot hold Contest Organizers, their advertising and promotional agencies, and their employees, agents and representatives liable for any damages related to the acceptance or use of their prize. To be declared the winner and prior to delivery of his/her prize, the potential winner will be required to sign and return a Declaration and Release Form to that effect.
  2. By entering, each Entrant agrees to abide by the Contest Rules and the decisions of Lafleur, which are final and binding in all respects. All Entries become the property of Lafleur and none will be returned.
  3. No correspondence pertaining to the Contest will be entered into except with the selected Entrants.
