4 Lafleur Smoked Sausages of your choice, finely sliced

Preparation
Heat oil in a pan and melt butter. Sauté red pepper, garlic and onion for 2 minutes.
Deglaze pan with white wine, scraping up bits from the bottom of the pan, and reduce sauce until nearly all the moisture has evaporated. Stir in sugar and seasoning while sauce is being boiled down.
Meanwhile, heat the sausages in a pan or boiling water for a few minutes.
Spread crackers with cream cheese. Cover with hot sausage slices. Top with red pepper relish and garnish with fresh basil.

Instead of smoked sausages, you could use fresh sausages, boiled before assembling the dish.
